FAQs

1.  I am a school user and I have forgotten my username or password

This means that you are not the person in the school who handed out all the usernames and passwords when the school first bought MathsMap.  That person is the main user account holder.  If you are the main user account holder and you have forgotten your username or password, see FAQs 3 or 4 below.  If you are any other school user read on.

On the MathsMap Home Page select 'Password reminder' and enter the email address which you gave MathsMap when you logged in for the first time (or the new email address if you have changed it through My Account).  MathsMap will send you your username and password.

2.  I am a school user, I have forgotten my username or password and I cannot use the 'Password reminder' on the Home Page

This means that you are not the person in the school who handed out all the usernames and passwords when the school first bought MathsMap.  That person is the main user account holder.  If you are the main user account holder and you have forgotten your username or password, see FAQs 3 or 4 below.  If you are any other school user read on.

This might happen if the email system is not working, or if you have forgotten the email address which you gave to MathsMap when you logged in for the first time.  Please do not contact MathsMap - we cannot help you with this problem.  You need to contact the main user account holder in your school who will log in and go to 'My Account' and then 'View user login details'.   Here your account can be Reset and you will receive a new username and password.  The only alternative is to wait for your email to be working again (if this is the problem) and use the 'Password reminder' (see FAQ 1).

3.  I am the main user account holder and I have forgotten my username or password

On the MathsMap Home Page select 'Password reminder' and enter the email address which you gave to MathsMap when you bought it (or the new email address if you have changed it through My Account).  MathsMap will send you your username and password.

4.  I am the main user account holder, I have forgotten my username or password and I cannot use the 'Password reminder' on the Home Page

This might happen if the email system is not working, or if you have forgotten the email address which you gave to MathsMap when you bought it.  You will need to contact MathsMap using the Contact Us page (not by telephone) and request that your password is reset.  MathsMap will contact you as soon as possible with the details of the reset password.  The only alternative is to wait for your email to be working again (if this is the problem) and use the 'Password reminder' (see FAQ 3).

5.  How much does MathsMap cost?

You can see all the current costs of MathsMap by going to the second panel of text on the Home Page (for the UK), or for other countries by going to the Purchase page (you won't be committing to buying anything).  On the Purchase page you have to choose your country and then go to the next page.

6.  How can I buy MathsMap?

In the UK you have two options.  The first option is to complete the online purchase order process in MathsMap, which requires a purchase order number.  You will be given a MathsMap licence and an invoice will be sent to you by email, to be paid within 30 days.  The second option is to pay by credit or debit card, which reduces paperwork if you are able to do this.  If you pay by credit or debit card you will be sent a confirmation invoice for information only.

Outside the UK you can pay only by credit or debit card.  You will be sent a confirmation invoice for information only.

The full description of how to buy MathsMap is on the Help page.  Please follow the link and select 'How can I buy MathsMap?'.

7.  If I buy MathsMap by credit or debit card are my card details secure?

Yes.  Even if you don't have a Paypal account, Paypal will handle your credit or debit card transaction.  MathsMap never sees anything about your card - all we see is a payment of money into our Paypal receiving account.
